Speaker: Make oil field safety a value, not priority

The focus on oil and gas safety used to be on preventing falls, but now attention is on transportation.

“Fifty percent of all occupational fatalities in oil and gas were in transportation — 50 percent,” consultant Dean Wingo said at Monday’s Permian Road Safety Coalition meeting.
